UFC 300 was an event that will go down in memory as one of the most remarkable ones ever. But guess what? It wasn’t so memorable for those who couldn’t get the job done that night, including a returning Jamahal Hill. It seems like the former 205lbs champion isn’t over the fact that Alex Pereira celebrated the way he did after knocking him out.
It’s almost been two months since we witnessed the out-of-the-world knockout win of Max Holloway over Justin Gaethje. After the BMF title epically changed hands, Alex Pereira, summoned his inner Khaby Lame to celebrate his own knockout win. But Jamahal Hill feels disrespected by ‘Poatan’ as he expressed his anguish against the Brazilian star on Instagram.
Firstly, ‘Sweet Dreams’ made sure to remind Alex Pereira that he beat his mentor, Glover Teixeira, and, according to him, in a dominating fashion. However, he pointed out that there was a level of respect between the two fighters, which doesn’t seem to be with ‘Poatan’. Jamahal Hill is confident about his chances of getting to fight Pereira again and plans to give him a defeat similar to the Israel Adesanya loss.

“[Pereira] You really setup a punch you couldn’t get to without a weird confusing moment and did some weak sh*t but it ok because you will fight me again and my eyes won’t leave you until your as stiff as Izzy left you in Miami,” stated an angered Hill.
However, Alex Pereira wasn’t going to stay silent for too long, and he left a comment on Jamahal Hill’s post. But that comment’s ending was edited and modified with a controversial term, but Pereira decided to share it anyway.“You reap what you sow, n***a [chama],” the edited comment shared in the champion’s stories wrote. The fans did not know how to react, it seemed, but they did take some shots at the former champion.
Fans side with Alex Pereira for clapping back at Jamahal Hill
The fans were all in for Alex Pereira. One fan clarified that the light heavyweight champion’s original comment didn’t have the term that’s clearly seen as being edited in. Meanwhile, a couple of UFC fan on Instagram were surprised by Pereira’s act. While one said, “Is fake hi not say the N Word,” others said, “pereira reposting dis is crazy,” and “Pereira dgaf no more.” There was another fan who believes that Pereira didn’t know too much English to make of what was said by his former rival. “Pereira don’t even know what that sh*t means.”

There were a couple of fans who just blasted Jamahal Hill for his outburst on social media. He believes that Alex Pereira did not even do much to knock him out, indicating that ‘Poatan’ is better than ‘Sweet Dreams’. “Hill typed a whole lot to say you rocked my sh*t and I’m upset about it, the Punch Alex threw didn’t even land square, it grazed hills nose and knocked him down. Alex is too much for Hull.”
One fan jibed that Jamahal Hill’s social media outburst could be attributed to an injury he might have suffered during the fight with Alex Pereira, while the other stated that he had been disappointed by the former champion. They said, “New mythical fighter unlocked – CTE Jamal,” and, “Man, all respect is completely gone for hill.”
Meanwhile, there was another fan who highlighted some significant pointers from the fight, which was Jamahal Hill’s illegal kick in the groin region. “How can He Set you up by getting kicked in the nuts buddy? You gotta protect yourself at all times, find the mistake you made and learn from it instead of crying about it.”
