“People Tried to Attack Me”- Michael Jai White Comes Clean Over Tupac Shakur’s “Dichotomy” 3 Decades After Playing Iconic Character ‘Bishop’

Michael Jai White recently talked about the dual nature of Tupac Shakur. Tupac Shakur, famously known as 2Pac and Makaveli, once entertained the world with his music. Hollywood actor and MMA practitioner, Jai White, was one of Shakur’s friends. In an interview, the ‘Tyson’ actor recalled 2Pac’s nature. He talked about the time when both of them played pool. According to Jai White, things took a different turn when Tupac played the role of Bishop in the movie ‘Juice.’ The 1992 movie was a crime thriller that portrayed the story of four young lads living in Harlem. The movie depicted their struggles with police harassment and other issues. Critics highly appreciated Tupac for his role as Bishop, as it was his first movie.

In ‘Juice,’ 2Pac showcased one of the best performances from a rapper. However, things changed drastically for the ‘California Love’ singer after he acted in the movie. Jai White feels that after the movie, the character of ‘Bishop’ stayed with 2Pac, and he found it hard to come out of it.

 Twelve days ago, an interview with Michael Jai White was uploaded by DJ Vlad on their YouTube channel. The interview lasted for more than two hours, during which White talked about a wide range of subjects. During the conversation, he also mentioned Tupac Shakur. Jai White said how he was attacked by people for openly talking about the “dichotomy” that existed in Tupac’s attitude.

He said, “I’ve been saying this, I said a long time ago when people tried to attack me, but now you think about everybody who speaks about Tupac. There’s two, there’s a dichotomy. There’s two guys going on all you got to do is please play the 17-year-old Tupac.“

He further added, “He was this innocent almost dare I say, someone that’s feminine type of dude. Like when you really look… he is a very soft person, that’s who he was. Two years later, he plays Bishop and that character that he created with Bishop influenced millions of people and he stayed in that character.“ Michael Jai White opened up about the rapper. He believes that 2Pac was indeed a very sensitive guy in the beginning. However, things took a different turn after he adopted the attitude of Bishop in his real life.

Jai White was a friend of 2Pac who knew him better, and in the interview, he chose to unveil the truth about the rapper’s character.
