The UFC superstar, Conor McGregor‘s every action easily catches the attention of the crowd. Even when the Irishman stayed away from the sport, he always made headlines for one reason or another. Recently, McGregor shocked the internet by punching the Miami Heat mascot. The Miami Heat was dealing with a tough time after facing a loss against the Denver Nuggets in Game 4 of the NBA finals. Adding to that, McGregor came forward to punch their mascot, Burnie. The UFC superstar was trying to promote his pain relief spray during the mid-game interval. After a hard left hook, Burnie lost his ground and fell down. When he was down on the floor, McGregor punched him hard in the face.
Following this, ‘The Notorious’ took out his pain relief spray and sprayed that on the injured mascot. Later, he was dragged away from the stage by actors who played medics.
At first, everyone thought that it was actually a staged performance by McGregor and Mascot. However, things became serious when Burnie got injured. After the incident, many blamed McGregor for his childish actions, which can cause huge damage. The current UFC light heavyweight champion, Jamahal Hill, feels that McGregor is not to blame.

Jamahal Hill supports Conor McGregor
The Schomo and UFC light heavyweight champion sat together to talk about the recent happenings in the UFC world. During their conversation, ‘The Schmo’ asked about Hill’s take on McGregor punching Burnie. As a reply, ‘Sweet Dreams’ said, “People always want to play games with the whole fight thing like, oh like I mean hey take it on the champ champion, get back to work.“
At first, Hill was confused about whether the incident was real at all. He felt that it was nothing but a promotional stunt. However, when Schmo mentioned that the mascot was seriously injured after getting punched by McGregor, he supported the UFC superstar. According to him, people always try to play silly games with real fighters.
As per several reports, the man that plays the mascot had to be taken to the emergency room after the incident.

UFC president Dana White reacts to the situation
Soon after the footage of the incident went viral, fans began to react to the issue. While some fans called out McGregor for his silly act, some felt that the Irishman deserved a title bout. Fans tagged UFC president Dana White and asked him to give McGregor a chance to win the belt.

McGregor is indeed someone who knows how to capture the attention of the crowd. Hence, a title bout with him means more money and fame for the entire promotion. After coming across the comments of fans, Dana White wrote, “LMFAO!!!!!!!!!” It seems that even the UFC boss is impressed with McGregor’s unexpected knockout.
