Conor McGregor has been calling for a comeback for years now. The former dual-weight champion of the world destroyed his shin bone when he came face-to-face against Dustin Poirier back in 2021. Since then, McGregor has been away from the realm of Octagon for good, however, he was supposed to come back at UFC 303 but his toe injury hampered it. Even before this announcement, he was keen to explore the idea of a comeback at the Sphere! But that idea has been seemingly dodged by the UFC head honcho. At least that’s what we know so far!

So what’s next for Conor McGregor? Well at a BKFC event, McGregor announced that he would be coming back during August or September. Well, ‘Notorious’ did confess about the timeline of his comeback but the community was not content with his words, however, a recent video has surfaced where McGregor can be seen having an intense gym session even though there’s a party going on. “Parties out in my back garden, and where am I? Still here [in the gym], after hours.”

“Second session of the day Sunday night. Second session of the day Sunday night, short sprints on the round machine, 20 seconds long, absolute max power. About 2 minutes rest between pure power. Power is not going to pull itself; that power is not going to pull itself. The work is not going to get done by itself,” said McGregor.

McGregor’s return still has a big question mark looming over his head, however, this update might act an optimism for his return. Regardless, this time ‘Notorious’ is kind of serious about his comeback.

‘Mystic Mac’s honest take on his return to the Octagon

Conor McGregor made the right decision to pull out of UFC 303 as per many UFC insiders. Why, you ask? Well, his shin has yet to repair itself completely, and fighting with a broken toe might have some adverse effects on his health. Regardless, it must be noted that this has not stopped McGregor from making comments on his comeback.

While in conversation with Severe MMA, McGregor said, “August, September … I’d love.I’m in recovery mode, it’s three weeks to the day, it happened three weeks ago today. I’m still here rocking around in the slippers. They’re not bad slippers, thankfully and they’re cozy enough but I can’t get into a shoe yet. They put stem cells in my foot. They came and took it from the back and put it in my foot, 20 mg of stem cells out of my own back, from the bone marrow in and right into the break.”

Dana White on the other hand is not keen on entertaining McGregor until he fully recovers. What’s your take on the entire fiasco? Will Conor McGregor return soon or is the game over for the biggest star of the promotion? State your thoughts in the comments below.
