Paddy Pimblett may not have won a UFC championship yet, but he has won in life. The unranked UFC lightweight star, amid his promising UFC career, is the proud father of two beautiful children. The Liverpool native’s wife, Laura Gregory, gave birth to twins on April 17 of this year. And as is all the rage today, Pimblett had an ingenious plan of revealing the gender of his of his babies.

Gearing up to face #15 ranked King Green (previously Bobby Green) on UFC 304 which could see him finally get ranked in the stacked 155-pound division, let’s see a throwback to Pimblett getting his dog to reveal the gender of his children seven months ago.

To get their loyal, loving (and incredibly cute) dog, Lenny, involved in one of the biggest moments of their life, Pimblett and Gregory came up with an ingenious idea. While the UFC star admitted that he didn’t bother with a big gender reveal party as most couples do, he did call their close family and loved ones to share the moment with them.

Pimblett whipped out a cake, with white icing, which had either a pink or blue center, in accordance with the gender of their twins. The lightweight hoped his dog would get stuck into the cake, and his nose would get some of the inner icing, letting the whole family know.

“We’re having twins. So to let Lenny [their dog] feel involved, we’re not having the gender reveal or nothing, but this is how we’re going to find out. This is how we’re going to let everyone know: when Lenny starts eating this cake his nose is either going to go pink or blue and whatever it is, we’ll be having two little girls or two little boys let’s find out,” he said in a vlog on his official YouTube channel.

While Lenny nearly put a wrench in Pimblett’s plans, he did come through in the end.

Lenny ‘announced’ Pimblett’s twins’ gender

The obedient canine immediately got started on the cake, and contrary to the plan, pulled off the top-most layer to reveal a pink center, meaning the couple were having twin girls. “As you can see it was pink so we’re having twin girls,” Pimblett announced, albeit not with much enthusiasm.

The reason for his lack of enthusiasm may be that he wanted to have boys but immediately clarified that all he cared about was that his baby girls were healthy and happy. “What male doesn’t want to have boys, but you know as long as they’re healthy as long, that’s all that matters. I had a feeling it was going to be girls. I knew, I just knew,” he added.

Shortly after the birth of their twin girls three months ago, Pimblett revealed they had named their girls Betsy and Margot, expressing immense contentment and elation at their birth on social media. The Englishman will undoubtedly be more driven than ever to succeed in giving his girls the best life he can, which is not a good sign for his upcoming opponent, King Green.

However, knowing the supremely confident UFC vet, he would probably welcome the challenge. This will make for a potentially electric matchup between the two strikers on UFC 304. Who do you think will succeed at the upcoming PPV event? Let us know your predictions in the comments below.
