Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett has just entered the UFC lightweight rankings by winning against King Green at UFC 304 and is currently at #12. He is just steps away from entering the top 10 and will fight against the lightweight contender Michael Chandler. ‘Iron’ Mike was last seen fighting against Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 where he unfortunately lost. This loss, however, came after an attempted win that included supposed illegal blows, but Chandler was not penalized for that. Even Dustin Poirier had complained about Chandler apparently ‘fish-hooking’ him, during their UFC 281 bout.
Pimblett, like any other fighter, knows this persona of Chandler and is gearing up in full swing for the fight. He already left fans shocked with his impeccable physique ahead of his big clash against Michael Chandler. He showed off his physique on YouTube and people were stunned to see the drastic weight cut he did to make the 155 lbs limit. He is pumped up and is documenting his training camp with the help of the best fighters, including the Fighting Nerds.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Pimblett showed his fight camp training and addressed how Patricio ‘Pitbull’ who has fought and won against Michael Chandler gave him some tricks to defeat him. Pimblett said, “Then obviously we have to go and do the press conference. Press Conference went well, I’m an honorary Brazilian after that. All the blue corners are Brazilian apart from me. Was chilling with them all, so talking with them all. They are all cool. Lopes is a cool dude, Pitbull is a great dude giving you all pointers on how to beat Chandler. And then the Fighting Nerds; Jean Silva and Prates, both cool as fu—.”

‘Iron’ had lost his Bellator lightweight title against ‘Pitbull’ in a first-round TKO back in 2019. So clearly, ‘Pitbull’ knows what is Chandler’s kryptonite. And it seems like ‘The Baddy’ just publicly exposed that he also knows how to defeat Chandler.
On top of that, Pimblett also isn’t overlooking how ‘Iron’ had committed a probable foul against Oliveira even though he lost. He summed up Chandler’s persona in one sentence while speaking to The Action Network and said, “Everyone knows that anyway. He’s a nice guy outside the cage. The second the door shuts, he’s a dirty b—–d. ” On the flip side, how is Chandler preparing to fight ‘The Baddy’?

Michael Chandler’s teammate gave a cold warning to Pimblett
Michael Chandler might have lost his last fight but there are very few fighters in UFC who are as bombastic as ‘Iron.’ 2 of his wins from the 6 UFC fights have come by a knockout, which shows that he is adept at finishing his opponents and sending them to the shadow realm. Even though he has not achieved the title as of yet, he is still ranked #7 and now is going against Pimblett who has an undefeated record at UFC with 6-0.
Just as Pimblett is preparing for all the odds against his opponent, Chandler seems to be doing the same, according to his training partner Jared Gordon. Just like ‘Pitbull’ fought against Chandler once, Gordon clashed against Pimblett in the past at UFC 282 in 2022. So, he knows Pimblett’s strengths and weaknesses as well.

Home Of Fight uploaded a snippet on their X account and shared the video where Gordon explained his stance. He said, “I mean it’s a tough fight for both of them.” Gordon also added, “And you know you are probably gonna get punched in the face by Mike when you fight him. So like, there’s a pretty good chance that he would hurt you or finish you. Ya, Mike would win, I don’t know the odds”.
