UFC PPVs have always been a source of excitement for fans, but UFC 310 showed otherwise. With Dana White setting up a prelims card that had top contenders, veterans, and a former champion, most of the fights were delivered, but the arena wasn’t full of fans as most seats were seen being vacant. As such, fans were quick to share their thoughts about the situation.

The last UFC pay-per-view of the year, UFC 310, certainly seemed to have taken a hit at the T-Mobile Arena as images from the venue during the prelims showed that the arena wasn’t as packed compared to prior PPVs. Despite a stacked prelims card, not many people showed up, but standup comedian and podcast host, Theo Von, appeared to enjoy the whole action as he was found sitting at cageside from the get-go.

A similar thing happened when Alexandre Pantoja headlined his first UFC PPV earlier this year. Although ‘The Cannibal’ defeated Steve Erceg to defend his title for the second time, there weren’t as many fans to witness the fight. Even more surprising was the fact that the event took place in his native country, in Rio de Janeiro, to be exact, but Pantoja could not sway his countrymen enough to fill up the whole arena.

Fans have discussed this issue surrounding an empty arena, and they had their own theories as to why Dana White had to face that problem. Furthermore, they took a special liking to Theo Von’s dedication to UFC.

When the fans learned about the instance, they hailed Theo Von for being a true-fight fan. A couple of fans on X said, “Theo Von GOAT of celeb fight fans,” and, “a real fan,” in that regard. On the other hand, there were some fans who mentioned how good some of the fights on the prelims card were, especially the fight between Aljamain Sterling and Movsar Evloev. “Aljo and Evloev put on a great fight and most of the fans didn’t even show up,” one of them wrote. As one fan added, “This is a super good set of prelims,” the more hardcore fandom appeared to be in love with the prelims card.

On the other hand, some fans placed the blame for the vacant seats at the T-Mobile Arena on the ticket prices, claiming, “I think it [the empty arena] has more to do with outrageous prices than anything because this card is great.” There might be a truth to it as the tickets, listed on the T-Mobile Arena’s website, ranged from $100 to an astounding $4,000. The prices of the section of most vacant seats were on the expensive side.

One fan rained down some stiff words on the fans for not attending shows despite buying tickets for the event. He just doesn’t see any reason for them to spend so much money in the first place. “I have no idea why a person would spend hundreds for tickets and not be there as soon as the doors open. Fools,”

As we said, many fans had their theories, and one of them claimed that we can witness empty prelims wherever there’s an event in Las Vegas. “Solely Vegas tho, every other venue is full during prelims.”

It will be interesting to see what Dana White will have to say about the gate record after the PPV, as not many people took an interest in the prelims. Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
