Shaub did not stop at that, further going on to compare Jiri Prochazka’s fighting style to that of former UFC lightweight interim champ Tony Ferguson.

He stated, “Jiri, he’s very Tony Ferguson-ish where it’s a controlled chaos, but when that chaos meets technique… it gets difficult for guys that thrive in the chaos”.

It’s certain who Shaub has his money on for the main event of UFC 295, and not an awful choice at that. Schaub might believe that Pereira is, at the moment, the best light-heavyweight in the division. But is Pereira good enough to leave his mark on the sport and be named as a Hall of Famer? Brendan Shaub states, “If he beats Jiri… UFC Hall of Famer probably already, but this would cement him.” And we can’t deny it, as Pereira’s resume speaks for itself.
