The whole world knows that the UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling shares a really bitter relationship with Sean O’Malley. After O’Malley defeated Petr Yan at UFC 280, he has been wanting his title shot against Sterling. Sterling, in turn, had a fall-out with the UFC president Dana White over that fight card – especially the scheduling of it.

Aljamain Sterling wanted time for recovery after securing a win over the legendary Henry Cejudo. However, promotion president White had other plans and wanted him to fight Sean O’Malley at UFC 292 itself. O’Malley was seen at UFC 290, where he avoided any form of communication with the bantamweight champ, who also attended the card.

The UFC 290 was a star-studded event that the who’s-whos of UFC came to attend. The main event featured Alexander Volkanovski against Yair Rodriguez. Alexander Volkanovski secured the win over Yair Rodriguez and put on a dominant performance while doing so. The co-main event featured Brandon Moreno vs. Alexandre Pantoja. The Middleweight bout between Dricus Du Plessis and Robert Whittaker was also part of the same fight card.

Sean O’Malley was in attendance and was seen moving through seats to get to his. His rival, Aljamain Sterling was seated ahead of him but the two didn’t interact as O’Malley walked on by. ESPN MMA uploaded the video on their Instagram page and the fans wasted no time in reacting to this ‘cold’ interaction.

“Most over rated fighter in the UFC“, said one fan, taking shots at O’Malley. Another fan backed him up, saying, “Sugar Sean is overrated“. Assuming that O’Malley didn’t look or confront Sterling because he was too scared to, one fan commented, “Too scared to look at Sterling“.

Dillon Danis, who happens to be former lightweight champion Conor McGregor‘s sparring partner and teammate, joined fans in dissing O’Malley. He commented, “one guy i wouldn’t wanna be“. 

Sterling’s friend Merab Dvalishvili was not far behind in trolling him. After having ‘stolen’ O’Malley’s jacket when he was busy squaring up against Aljamain Sterling. Referencing that prank, Dvalishvili commented saying, “Nice jacket.“. 

Not all were looking to lambast ‘Sugar’ O’Malley. Some comments were also in his favor. One fan called O’Malley “The goat🐐“, while another commented saying, “Ay starboy is here“. One fan even tagged Aljamain Sterling and warned him, saying, “Aljo @sugasean coming for that belt”. 

Despite the UFC president sharing an unpleasant relationship with Sterling according to reports, he proved the contrary as he gifted the bantamweight champion an expensive gift.

Sean O’Malley ‘sits on Dana White’s lap’ as the UFC President gifts Aljamain Sterling an exquisite Lamborghini

People have been targeting Sean O’Malley for quite some time now, throwing shade at him for ‘sitting on Dana White’s lap’ and trying to get favors out of him. Amidst all of this, White had a fallout with the Bantamweight champion Sterling, when he asked for a few days to recover before fighting Sean O’Malley. However, White didn’t seem to agree with this and publicly criticized him as well.

However, it seems that the beef between the two has been settled now. Dana White gifted Aljamain Sterling a £652,000 worth green Lamborghini. The fighter took to social media to appreciate Dana White for keeping his ‘word’.
