On the first episode of the GOATcast podcast with co-host and UFC legend Henry Cejudo, ‘Mighty Mouse’ said he is ready to face Martyn after the latter called him out. The duo watched a video of the bodybuilder talking to Brendan Schaub. Martyn stated he would like to take on ‘DJ’ in a jiu jitsu match as he is confident that he could defeat the MMA legend because of his size. Martyn is 260 pounds heavier and a full foot taller than the Kentucky native.

This prompted Johnson to point out that proper technique is paramount in grappling – even more important than weight or power. “It’s funny, you know, he’s 265 lbs, he’s a bodybuilder. So obviously, he’s got the weight advantage, but at the end of the day, you know that’s the beautiful thing about grappling. It’s not about the weight, it’s about technique. And we’re gonna try to grapple,” he said.
