Now, a recent Instagram post from the UFC showed that Colby Covington has successfully completed his 50th USADA test.

Fans praised Colby Covington for his achievement, but a lot of them looked very eager to see him back in the cage.

Netizens were happy to see Covington coming clean on the test. A fan commented, “There was never any doubt this man is pure raw American steel”.
Another fan predicted what may happen when Colby Covington gets back to fighting. He said, “Once he comes back it’s over for the welterweight division.” Fans called Covington, “The people’s Champ” and “Welterweight Goat”
While there were fans who were full of appreciation for Colby Covington, there were some dissatisfied fans too.

Colby Covington’s next fight is eagerly awaited
Colby Covington started his career as a wrestler, before transitioning to MMA and joining the UFC in 2014. ‘Chaos’ has lost just three fights in the promotion; two of them have been defeats in championship bouts against Kamaru Usman.
UFC 245 saw Kamaru Usman win by TKO and UFC 268 saw ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ retain with a unanimous decision win.

Covington‘s last fight came against Jorge Masvidal in March 2022. Almost 11 months on, there has been no confirmed update about the former UFC interim welterweight champion’s return. As his fans have been eagerly waiting to see their favorite fighter in the octagon again, it seems that a fight announcement is close.
The USADA test clearance could just have been another step towards the imminent announcement of a major fight that will take Covington closer to a title shot.
