Just days following the Joe Rogan Experience Episode #2219, featuring former President Donald Trump, Joe Rogan endorsed the Republican candidate for the upcoming elections. This can also prove to be a major turning point for the presidential run. But this isn’t the only help that Donald Trump is getting from the realm of the UFC. Now, even the former UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman has come out in support of the business tycoon.

Taking to his Instagram, the Nigerian-American fighter endorsed the Republican candidate and stated how his beliefs align with the beliefs and aspirations of Trump. Uploading pictures of his meet-up with the ex-POTUS, the Nigerian-American followed it up with the caption that shows his full support for Donald Trump. Usman wrote, “Growing up Democrat and starting to understand the state of politics over the last few decades I know how I want to live and how I want to raise my family. Make the choice that aligns with your beliefs and aspirations for your future @realdonaldtrump” Even UFC CEO Dana White re-shared the post on his Instagram story, as he too is a huge Trump supporter, owing to his close bond with the Republican.

It is worth noting that Trump has previously praised Kamaru Usman during his speech at Cobb Galleria in Atlanta back in 2020. Speaking on the topic of ‘Black economic empowerment,’ the ex-POTUS gave a shoutout to the UFC fighter as he said, “What a fighter you are. I don’t want to mess with him. I may weigh a couple of pounds more. Do you think I could take you in a fight, champ? I don’t think so.” He further added, “I watched the fight you had a couple of months ago. (You’re) an unbelievable talent—and (smart), too. It’s a combination. The muscles are important, but you’ve got to have the other.”

Well, it looks like Kamaru Usman has chosen his pick for the next President of the United States. However, some of his fans are surely going against his decision since Usman was known for being a Democrat. As a result, it didn’t take long for many to flood the comment section and voice out their opinion against the post.

Kamaru Usman gets mocked for supporting Donald Trump

As soon as Kamaru Usman uploaded the post praising Trump, some of the fans in his followers list were quick to voice out their opinions against it. Several users simply asked him to remove the post and said he would be forgiven. “It’s not too late to delete this post my man ♥️” and “Remove it and we’ll forget you ever added this.”

Some users weren’t so forgiving as they simply stated that Kamaru Usman was doing this to please Dana White since the UFC head honcho has had a longstanding relationship with Donald Trump since the early days of the UFC. And as we mentioned before, he also re-shared Usman’s post on his Instagram story. As a result, a user wrote, “Does any UFC fighter dare to not lick Dana and Trump’s boots?”

Another point that was consistently brought forward by some fans was the fact that Usman dedicated his win against Colby Covington to the entire world since he had defeated a Donald Trump supporter. Covington, a stern supporter of Donald Trump, often used race as a tool to take a jibe at Usman. So it was no surprise that fans were quick to mention it in their comments.

They wrote comments like, “You literally fought against Colby Covington who was fighting you with Trump’s support, and you claimed you fought against him and his hatred of immigrants. So disappointing,” and “the same guy that Colby Convington yelled racial slurs at in the name of Donald Trump. 🤣”

Some fans kept it short and simply stated that they are no longer fans of the former UFC welterweight champion for supporting Donald Trump. They wrote, “Just like that, I’m not a fan any longer” and “Nooooooooooooo!!!!! You was my mans! Dang”
