Almost no one is safe from internet memes, including Dana White. Since the second half of 2023, fans on social media have been chanting the “Oil Dana Up” meme, which originated during one of the UFC CEO’s live sessions on Instagram. He acknowledged those comments during a few live streams, which may have been a bad idea because it has come back to haunt the head honcho of the premiere MMA organization.
Ahead of UFC Seattle, featuring a packed card, the attention of the whole MMA community, and Dana White, was taken away by a social media influencer, Osman Razzaq. Followed by over 1.3 million users on Instagram, he is known mostly for his videos, where he gives out money to random people. This time, though, he decided to surprise White with an unexpected prank during a public event.
While it’s not certain as to where that happened, Dana White, during the said event, came across three individuals who were wearing T-shirts with the three words: ‘Oil Dana Up’. Was the UFC CEO angry? Of course not! The 55-year-old rather loved it as he shared an Instagram story where he called the three individuals, including Osman Razzaq, and signed their T-shirts. For the influencers, it was a “Legendary moment,” as they stated on Instagram.
