American mixed martial artist Dillon Danis has been facing a lot of backlash after he pulled out of the boxing fight against British YouTuber-boxer KSI. The Bellator fighter also had a verbal scuffle with prominent MMA journalist Ariel Helwani as well. However, Danis lost his father a few months ago. He shared a heartfelt message for his father on Twitter.
Dillon Danis was raised in Parsippany-Troy Hills in New Jersey. His first mixed martial arts training started at the age of 15. Danis was found fighting in school, after which he started training in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He earned his BJJ black belt at the age of 21. Dillon Danis also became Conor McGregor’s training partner in 2016.

Dillon Danis’ relationship with the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor is well documented. Even his heated confrontations with other fighters and internet personalities are always there for the netizens to see. But, there isn’t much known about his father but his mother, Nikki Danis, is of Honduran descent. He is one of three children in his family. He also has a sister, Carol Danis, and a brother, Bradon Danis. No matter how much fans hate him or love him, they made sure they were able to sympathize with Dillon Danis losing a family member.

Dillon Danis pulled out of the upcoming fight with KSI due to being “underprepared.” He revealed that he did not have a team to train with for the fight. Danis also found himself hopping from gym to gym and training with different sparring partners. We will have to wait and see what the 29-year-old has in store for 2023.
