When it comes to making headlines outside the Octagon, few fighters rival the notoriety of Sharaputdin Magomedov. From a public mall altercation to a Moscow subway brawl alongside Khamzat Chimaev, Shara has become a name synonymous with out-of-cage clashes. So, what happened this time? A routine stroll into a Moscow metro station turned into chaos, and as expected, Shara and Chimaev made sure they weren’t the ones backing down. But is this the start of a troubling pattern, or just another day for two UFC’s most dynamic middleweights?
In a scene straight out of an action flick, Shara ‘Bullet’ and Khamzat Chimaev found themselves at odds with four locals blocking their path. What began as a simple shoulder check quickly escalated. One of the locals grabbed Shara’s arm and taunted, “Let’s go outside, you’ll find out,” and at that point, the gloves metaphorically came off.
“We noticed how loud and obnoxious they were being,” Shara explained in his recount to the Russian interviewer. “When we got closer to the doors, they didn’t even look like they were going to move to let us pass, so I shoulder checked one of them. And we got going, all of a sudden I heard someone whistling behind us like calling us. We turned around…. they started talking in a disrespectful tone and one grabbed me by my arm trying to pull me toward himself… So, at this point we both attacked them. The brawl broke out, two of them ended up kind of knocked out and the others ran out.”

The image of two professional fighters effortlessly dispatching a group of aggressors grabs our attention, doesn’t it? But this isn’t the first time Shara’s out-of-ring altercations have gone viral.
A previous incident involving the Dagestani fighter drew widespread attention when a video surfaced online showing him in a heated confrontation over a couple engaging in PDA at a mall. The clip, which remains unverified, reportedly shows Shara getting physical with a man for inappropriate public behavior.
“I never get in these types of situations anymore but when it comes to putting someone in their place, I can lose my patience sometimes,” Shara claims. But how far can we trust that statement, given his recent history?
Will Khamzat Chimaev and Shara Magomedov stay on the same team?
What makes this Moscow story even more intriguing is the dynamic between Shara and Chimaev. Not long ago, the two were trading barbs, with Chimaev mocking Shara’s wrestling skills and Shara responding with confidence in his striking abilities.

“Even if I get taken down, it doesn’t matter because my elbows are gonna do the job,” Shara boasted at the UFC Abu Dhabi media day, signaling his unwavering belief in his ability to adapt to any challenge. That confidence may be part of what fuels his fiery public encounters.
It’s not unusual for fighters with intensity to find themselves in the spotlight for reasons outside the Octagon. But is this becoming a habit for Sharaputdin Magomedov? With two high-profile incidents in such a short span, questions are emerging about how his public behavior might impact his UFC career.
Meanwhile, we are in a position to speculate on an unlikely partnership between Chimaev and Shara. Could this alliance be the start of a friendship that translated to dominant performances in the cage? Or will their competitive instincts eventually pit them against each other? The latter seems the likelier outcome considering they compete in the same division.

For now, their camaraderie in battle might be enough to overshadow their past rivalry. But with Shara’s fiery temper and Khamzat’s unrelenting aggression, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen the next time they step into, or out of the cage.
