Ian Garry continued his undefeated run after his victory over Michael Venom Page at their UFC 303 clash on June 29. The bout was expected to be a striking masterclass, given both men’s historically great striking pedigree. Garry, of course, has declared himself to be the ‘next Conor McGregor‘, having started his MMA journey after being inspired by ‘The Notorious’ when the latter was in his prime. However, his latest performance has cast further doubts on his aspirations to become the biggest superstar in the sport’s history like ‘Mac’, who was the most exciting fighter to watch in his prime.

Garry, who has been sharpening his skills at former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira’s Chute Boxe Gym, chose to grapple with the former Bellator and BKFC fighter. The majority of the fight took place on the ground, with the first and third rounds ending with Garry on top of ‘MVP’, who seemed clueless about how to deal with the Irishman on the ground. And while the undefeated Irishman managed to scrape through a unanimous decision win, the bout did not see much action. This, of course, disappointed fans.

The UFC viewers took to social media to express their displeasure at Garry’s performance and lackluster game plan. Garry was already quite unpopular among fans because of the whole controversy surrounding his wife since late last year. And MMA fans from all around the world came together to have one of the greatest, most hilarious reactions to Garry’s interview on ‘The MMA Hour Show’ yesterday.

‘Next Conor McGregor’ relentlessly trolled by fans worldwide

In the comments section of Garry’s interview with Ariel Helwani on YouTube, fans put together a comment chain deserving of being in the Hall of Fame. The Irish fans got the ball rolling by disowning the Irishman, offering him up to Brazil instead: “Ian Garry is not liked in Ireland he’s definitely not the pride of Ireland. Brazil can have him.”

The Brazilians, after thanking the Irish fans, were not interested in taking Garry either, perhaps because of his latest performance, and suggested the Africans may be open to taking the undefeated welterweight: “Thank you for your kind offer, but on behalf of the Brazilians, we must refuse. Maybe the Africans will take him.”

The Africans, too, felt that Garry would not be a good representative for them as all the slots were currently full, proposing the Arabs as a likely candidate to take Garry: “unfortunately africa has no spaces available at the moment. maybe the arabs will have him.” The Arabs expressed their regret at having to turn down Garry, passing the baton to the Americans: “Salam brothers, unfortunately the Arab kingdom must refuse this kind offer.. maybe the Americans will take him.”

The Americans, however, who have no shortage of champions and title contenders, did not want ‘The Future’, either, expressing an interest in drafting the viral ‘hawk-tuah’ girl instead, calling on the Russians to take the hit: “WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.. want no business with this Garry fellow, but well kindly take the hawk-tuah girl. Someone ask the Russians?”

The Russians, reeling from the recent unrest in the province of Dagestan, which has produced some of the best MMA fighters, threw up their hands, and offered the Irishman to the Indians: “sorry comrade, we have our hands full with the dagestani situation, maybe the indians can spit shine him into a legend.”

Even the Indians however, who have no fighter ranked in any UFC weight division and may benefit greatly from having a UFC star, also turned it down, enlisting the help of the Antarcticans (which doesn’t have any native population or country) to take Garry off their hands: “we the people of India have like no fighters in UFC. That being said, we will pass him to the Antarcticans.”
