Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Pitbull lashed out at the promotion and Illinois commission for delaying the treatment of his brother. Patricky Pitbull lost his lightweight title to Usman Nurmagomedov at Bellator 288. A frustrating night at the office only got worse for the Pitbull brothers after that.

Patricio and Patricky Pitbull were the Bellator featherweight and lightweight champions, respectively. Patricky Pitbull lost his title on Friday after a one-sided beat down from the Dagestani Usman Nurmagomedov. He had to wait a long time to get treatment for an injury sustained during the fight.

Patricio Pitbull blasts Bellator and Illinois Commission

Patricio Pitbull accompanied his brother after his loss for getting post-fight doctor’s treatment. However, they had to wait for an unreasonably long time before being attended to. The Brazilian took to Twitter to let his frustration out.

“Illinois Commission don’t serve for sh*t! Not a single doctor on site to stich my brother,” wrote a frustrated Pitbull. We were sent to a hospital, treated like sh*t for more than 5 hours and still waiting!” He continued. Pitbull also attached an image of the nasty cut on his brother’s face.

Patricky Pitbull was bleeding from a significant cut on his eyebrow. In the picture, we can see him bleeding from this nasty gash. “@bellatormma needs to have a medical team ready to do that on the events. Not the first time!” concluded Patricio Pitbull.

Pitbull’s rant is not a good look for the commission or the promotion. Fighter safety should be of paramount importance at these events, and medical teams should be present and readily available.

Patricio Freire to fight in Bellator x RIZIN crossover event

On New Year’s eve 2022, five top Bellator stars will face five top RIZIN stars in a crossover event. Top Bellator fighters Patricio Pitbull and A.J. McKee will compete on the RIZIN 40 card that goes down in the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

The contests will follow the RIZIN rule set, which allows soccer kicks and knees to a grounded opponent. Pitbull will fight Kleber Koike in the co-main event while McKee will face Robert Satoshi in the main event. The promotions confirmed no titles will be on the line for these fights.

Pitbull last defended his Bellator featherweight title against Adam Borics. Before that, he beat McKee in a high-stakes rematch to reclaim his featherweight title.
