Joe Rogan is undeniably a great fan of combat sports. He practices jiu-jitsu and had been a taekwondo champion. However, his interest in kickboxing cannot be questioned. The beloved podcaster and UFC commentator recently issued a warning for all UFC welterweight fighters to look out for a fighter, and it’s not Khamzat Chimaev.

In the JRE episode #1900, Joe Rogan featured the comedian, actor, stunt performer, author, and a fellow podcaster, Steve-O. The two talked about a multitude of topics. However, they couldn?t stay away from the recent UFC 281 events. As the conversation proceeded, Rogan?s love for kickboxing was showcased. Moreover, he also wished good luck in case one of the elite kickboxers decided to enter the Octagon.?

Joe Rogan issued a warning for the welterweight division?

Recently, Joe Rogan invited Steve-O, the host of the podcast ?Wild Ride with Steve-O?, to JRE. The UFC commentator and his guest talked about the fight between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira in UFC 281. Then, the topic shifted towards elite kickboxers who could defeat the current MMA strikers with ease. One of those elite names was Cedric Doumbe.

Rogan said, ?The other elite guys in kickboxing that were supposed to fight in MMA, one of them is Cedric Doumbe. And I?ve had Cedric on the podcast before, and he?s another dude. He?s a f**king real problem.? Furthermore, he claimed that if the Cameroonian-French fighter entered the Octagon, he?d indeed dominate.

The kickboxer has been training and learning to wrestle at the AKA. However, Rogan revealed facts about Doumbe?s medical issues and how he had to pull out of a fight in France.

Moreover, The 55-year-old podcaster said, ?He was supposed to have his UFC debut and now like, I think he said he was in some sort of a dispute with Glory because they?re kind of upset that he?s leaving Glory and going over to the UFC.”

“I hope he gets over there, because that?s another guy that like, all those dudes at 170 that like to strike, like good f**king luck. Good luck with that guy.? Rogan issued a warning to all the welterweight fighters, to be careful of Doumbe.

Cedric Doumbe would be a problem for strikers

Rogan justified his claims by talking about how the fights start with an advantageous position for the kickboxers. Since all fights commenced with the fighters standing on their feet, it gives the kickboxers a greater advantage.?

Thus, Rogan felt Doumbe would have quite an advantage. “Like, all fights start standing up.?
