Martin Luther King Jr. was not only a beacon of hope for civil rights but also an embodiment of discipline and dedication. King’s disciplined lifestyle was deeply rooted in his strong faith, which shaped his commitment to nonviolence and social justice. He spent countless hours studying theology and the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, drawing inspiration for his strategy of peaceful resistance.
King’s schedule was rigorous, as he balanced activism, preaching, writing, and speaking engagements. His speeches and letters were carefully crafted, showcasing a disciplined mind focused on inspiring and educating others. However, the environments in which he stayed were often far from ideal, reflecting the immense challenges he faced.
Israel Adesanya shared a story on his Instagram, highlighting the struggles King endured. The story featured a podcaster saying, “Do you know how gangster it is to stay on the right path? Like we always talk about how gangster it is for somebody to go out and go crash out and go mob and go do all this. If you see everybody out in your neighborhood hustling, grinding, selling d–e, and mobbing, and you be like, ‘I ain’t doing that,’ and you stay dedicated to not do that and go and take a path and become successful by not indulging in the poisons—bro, that’s a gangster.”
Adesanya responded to the story with his caption: “A crash out is always one word away.”

Adesanya has recently faced a challenging period inside the Octagon, enduring back-to-back losses in his last outings. Despite the setbacks, the former champion is determined to grind his way back to the top. For the first time in nearly six years, Adesanya is returning to square one to headline a non-PPV UFC card.
Adesanya is set to headline UFC’s highly staked Fight Night card in Saudi Arabia, where he will face Nassourdine Imavov, the #5 ranked middleweight contender. Interestingly, Imavov wasn’t the only contender in the mix for this bout. Brazilian standout Caio Borralho was also considered for the fight but appears content with not being selected this time. And he had something to say about ‘Izzy’.

Israel Adesanya is no stranger to challenges, but his recent back-to-back losses have put his career under intense scrutiny. The most shocking of these defeats came at the hands of Dricus Du Plessis, who submitted Adesanya to claim the middleweight title. Despite the setbacks, Adesanya remains undeterred and has several options for his comeback fight. One potential opponent was # 6 ranked star Caio Borralho, whose impressive performances have garnered significant attention in the MMA world.
Ultimately, Adesanya chose to face Nassourdine Imavov instead—a decision that sparked discussions among fans. Some speculated whether Adesanya was avoiding the dangerous Borralho, further fueling the narrative surrounding his return. Borralho didn’t shy away from the controversy, addressing it openly and adding more intrigue to Adesanya’s upcoming Octagon appearance. While Borralho admitted that missing the opportunity to fight Adesanya was disappointing, he revealed a private conversation between the two, during which Adesanya assured him of a potential title clash in 2025.

Speaking on Submission Radio, Borralho shared his perspective, “I was looking for this fight, you know? I think it was the fight to make after my last performance and Imavov’s last performance. I’m on a seven-fight winning streak, you know? Beat the biggest one in the division right now after Dricus, so I don’t know why it didn’t happen. But I think that Adesanya is big enough to make choices, you know? And I think if they gave him two choices, you know…”
Adesanya’s return is set to headline UFC Fight Night 250, where he will take on the #5-ranked Nassourdine Imavov. With so much at stake and the division heating up, all eyes are on ‘The Last Stylebender’ as he looks to reignite his career and silence the critics. Are you excited for Israel Adesanya’s next fight?
