Jon Jones recently claimed that he was interrupted by Drug Free Sport International drug-testing officers while he was trying to take a nap. And that was not the best interaction between the two involved parties as the female drug-testing officer would later come out with some serious allegations.

Crystal Martinez accused Jones of being rude, snatching her phone away, and even giving her a death threat. She would later go on to file a police complaint, noting that Jones was unhappy because of several things that allegedly went wrong during their visit.

Jones later told the fans that he was taking a nap after celebrating a birthday and was disturbed by the sample collectors. It was also reported that he was unable to urinate for a test and became irritated over the idea of a blood test instead. Rumors soon followed that Jones had been arrested following the complaint but he was in fact, a free man and came in the open to clear out the rumors.

“I wanted to address some misinformation that has been circulating this morning . I woke up to false reports that I had been arrested . I have not been arrested. In fact, I am currently in Texas with my daughters at a volleyball tournament.” he wrote on his X handle.

“I was recently visited by testers while I was celebrating a birthday and taking a nap. Upon waking up, I was caught off guard by the unprofessionalism and protocol by one of the testers which caused frustration leading me to use some profanity I regret. However, I want to emphasize that at no point did I threaten , get in anyone’s face , raise my voice to anyone or engage in any form of assault.” Clearly, misinformation has plagued the UFC heavyweight champion after the recent incident.

This is not the first time Jones has had trouble with the law. Considering this new issue and the current heavyweight title picture, fans had things to say about it too.

UFC fans react to Jon Jones cleaning up the air about his arrest

Jon Jones is a fan favorite for several reasons. He is considered the GOAT of MMA by many people out there and that stands to reason too. So, of course, fans came to stand up for him when things went out of control.

While some fans were ready to correct people, others were in disbelief. This fan did not want people to believe the accusations against the UFC champion simply because they did not like him.

This fan just had three words for those bugging ‘Bones’.

Another one offered support for the champion, taking his side, and choosing to believe his side of the story.
