The Barbie movie is a global phenomenon. Already a household name, the film has been a smash hit at the box office, further popularizing the toy line from Mattel. The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-led film has grossed over $1 billion globally and is on track to become the highest-grossing film of 2023.

No two things could be far apart than Khabib Nurmagomedov and Barbie. ‘The Eagle’ is a simple man. He likes his family, and his faith, and lives a stoic, disciplined life. The Dagestani has spoken about refusing to attend even close friend and coach Daniel Cormier‘s parties. And now it seems Nurmagomedov is not a big fan of Barbie as well.

The former lightweight champion posted a story on his Instagram. It was a picture of a pink dessert. Below it, he put a sticker that says “Barbie” with a cross put over it. No doubt, this broke the hearts of many of his fans. But, this is hardly surprising. On films, the 34-year-old’s views are encapsulated in a simple but hilarious quote- “Too much movie makes your heart weak,” Khabib once said while reviewing movies.

The Dagestani is an orthodox man who lives a mostly traditional life in his native province of Dagestan in Russia. He has two boys and one girl with his wife. His sons are Magomed and Husayn Nurmagomedov while his daughter is named Fatima Nurmagomedov. While his views on Barbie are clear, fans are, undoubtedly, waiting to know his views on Oppenheimer.

‘The Eagle’ completely distances himself from MMA

Khabib Nurmagomedov announced his retirement as a fighter from MMA back in 2020 following his second-round victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. His father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov’s passing away, and his mother not wanting him to continue fighting were major reasons behind his decision to retire. He did continue as a coach and fight promoter. However, earlier this year he retired as a coach and promoter to devote more time to his family.
