UFC 300 saw amazing moments like Alex Pereira‘s amazing knockout of Jamahal Hill and Max Holloway‘s magnificent knockout of Justin Gaethje. Another spotlight-worthy moment was Kayla Harrison‘s victory over Holly Holm. UFC had a gate of $16,508,823 and the estimated PPV with 1M sales and $79.99 price was 79,990,000. So the total earnings of the promotion were a whopping $96,498,823. However, something even bigger is coming with UFC 306 because the UFC CEO has revealed that a staggering $16 million has already been spent on the event.

The event will be hosted at the Sphere in Las Vegas on 14th September and Chael Sonnen is confident it will surpass UFC 300. He said on his YouTube channel, “I believe he could have the biggest fight UFC’s ever had. I believe an accident he is going to not only surpass I think he’s gonna crash 300 on accident.” The ‘American Gangster’, however, had only one question why Dana White was saying that The Sphere would only see UFC one time?

He also mentioned how ‘The Notorious’ wanted a fight in the Sphere for a long time and even fighters like Michael Chandler, Sean O’Malley, and many others are aiming for it. Sonnen claimed, “If Dana doesn’t make calls, he doesn’t do matchmaking, he doesn’t do what he has to do as a fight promoter to get fights together. If he does not do that if he just stands back and let the boys and girls figure it out on their own and says yes.”

White claimed that this event was going to be so marvelous that it would never be replicated again. Along with that, the event also runs on Mexican Independence Day where it aims to pay respects to the history of Mexican UFC fighting. Several fighters are requesting different matchups for this event that can create history and one of them is the fight between Conor McGregor and Chandler that was supposed to happen in UFC 303.

Brendan Schaub wants the Chandler vs McGregor card

This iconic fight was supposed to happen in UFC 303, but McGregor had to withdraw because of a toe injury. After all the fiasco, the boss decided that he would not speak about a fight for McGregor until he was ready. Meanwhile, Brendon Schwab has a request for the UFC head honcho. During a conversation on the ‘Thiccc Boy’ podcast, he emphasized that even though Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili were going to be there, it was only McGregor vs Chandler that could do justice to the UFC Noche event.

Schaub said, “Dana says it’s going to be the biggest combat sports event in history. And it’s no disrespect to ‘Sugar’ Sean and Merab. You can have them on there too, but to say that, the main event would have to be super special. Merab vs. Sugar? Dude, that’s a great fight. I’ll watch that all day.”

According to him, the only thing that was going to blow people away was a fight between Corner versus Chandler at the sphere. After the UFC 303 fiasco, the boss had advised Michael Chandler to not continue waiting for McGregor if he wanted to get ahead in his rankings. Since then, there have been numerous rumors that Chandler is only looking for an opponent and it might be Nate Diaz.

As for McGregor, he is enjoying his time with his family in Switzerland, even though he already asserted that he will be returning to the octagon in September. Do you think UFC 306 might save Chandler vs. McGregor? Let us know in the comments below.
