Claressa Shields made a successful debut in her professional MMA career in a recent PFL card. Shields is considered as one of the greatest women’s boxers to ever compete in the sport. Now she is determined to make her mark in the world of MMA as well.
Many have started considering a potential fight between Shields and two-division UFC champion, Amanda Nunes. However, Shields understands that the fight doesn’t really make sense at the moment as she is too young in her MMA career. However, she believes it would be smart for Nunes to fight her right now during the early stages of her career.

“That’s that’s just the question. I’m asking y’all. Because I didn’t feel like I looked that great. So nobody’s gonna be comparing Amanda Nunes to me. And I don’t think that Amanda Nunes should even be looking at me as competition right now. Because I just had my first MMA fight if she’s smart though, she would want to fight me early in my career,” said Shields.
“You know, like right now or next year, you know, like that would be something that would be smart on her end, you know, because I’m inexperienced and she’s still in be ahead of me. But once three you know three years four years of of experience then because I modify what a minimum is but not right now. Not right now in everything be respectful of her enough enough her greatness you know but you know I’m taking one fight at a time on five girls who on my level and work my way up but just know that I am looking at the girls who are at the top you know I’m saying what I’m about to I’m about to get dangerous,” she added.
