UFC star Nate Diaz decided to play the role of match-maker for the UFC and suggested a pairing that has captured everyone’s attention. Diaz took to Twitter and said that Conor McGregor should face rising star Khamzat Chimaev in his return bout. According to Stockton’s second son, the bout will help McGregor ‘taper back in’ after a devastating injury.

He even went so far as to thank himself for putting the match-up together.

It didn’t take long for McGregor to weigh in and he greeted Nate Diaz’s suggestion with his approval. The Irishman has looked to adopt an ‘anytime-anywhere-anyone’ mentality throughout his fighting career and he seems open to facing Chimaev. However, there’s no doubt that stylistically, this is not the most favorable match-up for Conor McGregor.

In a somewhat surprising turn of events, Khamzat Chimaev decided to come out of the shadows and opine on the aforementioned conversation. ‘Borz’ ended up verbally slamming Nate Diaz on Twitter in a continuation of their previous feud. At this stage, it goes without saying that Khamzat Chimaev would relish the opportunity of fighting Conor McGregor.
