The reigning UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena took a nasty jibe at the former UFC fighter Ronda Rousey in an old interview.
‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ demanded a title fight right after defeating Cat Zingano at UFC 200. The latter is a female fighter who defeated Amanda Nunes in 2014. However, ‘The Lioness’ was opting for Ronda Rousey for her next title defense and kept Pena as a backup opponent.
Meanwhile, ‘Rowdy’, who suffered her first defeat in UFC at the hands of Holly Holm at UFC 193, was waiting for her UFC comeback. Considering this, an interviewer asked ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ if Rousey would be the same after her first defeat in a TMZ Sports interview.

Why Is There a Rivalry Between Julianna Pena and Ronda Rousey?
‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ and ‘Rowdy’ have a bitter history, dating back to 2013. Both the MMA combatants were a part of The Ultimate Fighter show, where former champion Miesha Tate and ‘Rowdy’ were selected as the coaches for the show.
The ‘Cupcake’ picked Pena in her team for her battle against Rousey. Additionally, Tate and Rousey were already bitter rivals in the promotion. Later, in the show, Pena and Tate became close friends and also training partners.
