The UFC lightweight competitor Paddy Pimblett has been a topic of debate for quite a long time. The British fighter, who had early-career flashes of greatness, is currently taking time off from the UFC. Although there were a few contentious blips, Pimblett has carried on his winning form whatsoever.

Given the situation, Pimblett was able to rekindle the interest of the netizens after one of his statements appeared on Twitter. The Twitter handle of ‘MMA Junkie’ resurfaced a glimpse of what he said, which was enough to spark the attention of the fans.

How did the fans react to the tweet featuring Paddy Pimblett?

While posting the image of Paddy Pimblett, MMA Junkie intended to tell Pimblett’s future aim of returning to the UFC scenes . The image followed the statement which apparently quoted, “Paddy Pimblett done eating ‘8,000 calories a day’ in between fights, hopes to be ranked by next year”. 

Fans from across the MMA spectrum have weighed in with their opinions and responses.

One fan took a dig at Pimblett by downplaying his talent.

Another one did not seem convinced about Pimblett’s prospects.

 

One fan seemed amused by what Pimblett was planning. Meanwhile, another had a laugh at the Scouser’s expense.

 

This fan had a doubt concerning him which he straightaway asked to the UFC.

The tweets make it very evident that the fans don’t seem to agree with Peddy Pimblett’s optimism for the future. They didn’t hesitate to show their chuckles through their tweet. And while Pimblett has big plans for his comeback, he is taking his time to make sure it is a healthy return.

Pimblett is in no rush for a comeback

Due to his injury, ‘The Baddy’ is taking a break from the UFC and the MMA world. Even though he was eager to have a go, he said it would be another six months before he could return. Pimblett doesn’t want to rush his recovery and wants to be able to participate before the year is though.

He told all his plans while having an interview with SLOTHBOXX YouTube channel. Pimblett stood victorious in his last UFC clash against another lightweight competitor, Jared Gordon, back in December 2022. Since then, he is away from the MMA circuit.
