Last Saturday, the world witnessed one of the most anticipated clashes as celebrity boxer Jake Paul and former UFC star fighter Nate Diaz went head-to-head in a 10-round battle. The match, which was anticipated to be dominated by Jake, took an unforeseen turn as he secured a convincing victory over Diaz but didn’t manage to achieve the knockout many had anticipated.
Now, in a surprising move, Jake Paul has expressed his intention to step into the MMA world and face Nate Diaz once again. The move has left many MMA fans raising an eyebrow, considering the vast differences between the two disciplines and the challenges such a transition could present.
Adding fuel to the speculation, former UFC two-weight division champion Daniel Cormier (DC) has weighed in with his prediction.

Nate Diaz will submit Jake Paul
DC, in a conversation with Ben Askren on his YouTube channel, talked about Jake Paul and his probable move of fighting Nate Diaz in MMA.
When Askren asked Cormier whether Jake would fight Nate Diaz in MMA, Cormier stated there’s no chance that Jake Paul would venture into the MMA arena to face Nate Diaz. As per Cormier, the outcome is inevitable – if such a fight were to take place, Diaz would secure victory through submission.
Sharing his perspective on the probable matchup, DC emphatically stated, “No chance he fights Nate in MMA. Nate will submit him if they fight. Nate will submit him.”
DC’s conviction seemed to deepen as he elaborated, reflecting, “I’ll take less confidence now in Jake Paul fighting Nate in MMA because of last weekend.” DC’s assessment stemmed from the recent events where Jake Paul’s performance in the boxing ring didn’t match the expectations.

As per him, Jake’s prime opportunity to assert dominance over Nate Diaz lay in the boxing world, yet he fell short of securing a powerful victory. While Jake did manage to secure a convincing win, he failed to deliver the knockout that many had anticipated.
Cormier said, “Jake’s best chance of dominating Nate Diaz was in boxing, and he didn’t. While he did win the fight convincingly, he didn’t put him out like many people thought he would.” This shift in outcome appears to have influenced DC’s perspective on the feasibility of a potential MMA showdown between the two fighters.
