However, ‘Killer’ Karine evened the scoreboard with her amazing last-second victory against the ‘Iron Lady’ Moroz. The second iteration of their fight at UFC 292 headlined by Sean O’Malley and Aljamain Sterling proved to be a thoroughly entertaining one. Few things are as exhilarating as a last-minute finish.

The victory that came by way of a guillotine choke saw Karine make Moroz tap out right at the last moment. The victory propels Karine to her third victory in the UFC where she hasn’t lost yet. And more impressively, this leaves her overall professional fighting record at 17-4. The Brazilian, whose wins have all come by way of submission or knockouts, is also on an eight-win streak. ‘Iron Lady’ Maryna Moroz was unable to hold out against the Brazilian’s choke as she tapped out with just a second to spare, during the first round of their UFC clash.

The victory over the Ukrainian Flyweight makes Karine a very exciting prospect to look out for. Despite being unranked so far, ‘Killer’s fights have all been entertaining and impressive. Many fans also comfortably rank her among the top rungs of the women’s Flyweight ladder. The cinematic victory over Moroz led fans to storm X (formerly Twitter), after the UFC’s official account shared a clip of the finish. As the world celebrated her victory, fans had nothing but praise.

It showed the last moments of the fight as Silva gets up from the ground after the tap-out and rallies the crowd in the spirit of her victory. Under the post, one fan commented,

Her dominating performance solidifies her position as a fighter. In light of this, some fans brought up her status as an unranked fighter and seemed to disagree with it. One fan tweeted,

Online fans almost unanimously have stormed X to give ‘Killer’ Karine Silva her flowers. The visuals from the UFC also show the crowd resonating with her spectacular fight and the nail-biting finish. As she continues to work her way up the roster, it’ll be interesting to see how Silva fares against these ranked fighters as a fan mentioned. But we can be sure of one thing, ‘Killer’ still has a long way to go in the UFC. Judging by her performances so far, Karine Silva is a name that is here to stay.
