There’s one fight that has UFC fans drooling over more than a Thanksgiving feast – Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou. Unfortunately, current circumstances tell us that this fight is far from being finalized. When Jon ‘Bones’ Jones made his comeback announcement, people hoped his opponent would be ‘The Predator’ Francis Ngannou. However, Ngannou parted ways with the UFC because of major contractual disputes, and Jones’ comeback opponent became Ciryl Gane. But to this day, the MMA community is not over the dream of seeing Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones.

To add fuel to this fire, the two stars recently had an intense face-off at a PFL event. Seeing two of the best heavyweight fighters staring at each other eye-to-eye gave fans a small glimpse of what a potential future rivalry would look like. Now, as another intense video between the two surfaces, fans are wreaking havoc on social media, while demanding this mega-fight.

Fans go haywire as a new video of Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou goes viral

In the footage, Jones made a memorable appearance inside the PFL cage, while Ngannou stood cage-side. As they locked eyes, tension filled the air. ‘Bones’ even performed his signature kneeling pose, a display of confidence and intimidation. Ngannou didn’t hold back, sending verbal shots toward Jones, including a sharp remark about his contractual situation.

“Tell your daddy to release you,” said Ngannou as he referred to the UFC president Dana White. Fans couldn’t stop themselves from demanding this exciting fight. As always, many picked their favorite and took a firm stand.

It would appear from these reactions that a segment of the fandom is unhappy with Francis’ decision to move to the PFL and believe Jones would have Ngannou’s number if the two of them fought. Many found it bizarre that Ngannou referred to Dana White as ‘Bones’ “daddy“, hinting that Jones was a victim of the same fighter grievances that Ngannou escaped from in contract re-negotiations. ‘The Predator’ is clearly eager for a matchup against ‘Bones’ and appeared to stand his ground in the face of one of the greatest fighters. But it remains to be seen if the marquee matchup will ever take place.
