It is only a fortune when UFC CEO Dana White becomes your fan. This strikes especially true for Slate Milk. The chocolate milk company has come forward by leaps and bounds after it was quite infamously rejected by Shark Tank. In fact, Slate is one of UFC’s official partners.

Now, the list of investors in the beverage is growing longer and longer. A new NFL star has made an investment in the product and their avid fan Dana White cannot keep calm. Here’s what happened when NFL star Maxx Crosby made an investment in Slate Milk.

There is perhaps no other promoter as loud and excited as Dana White. This goes for just about anything he’s trying to market from UFC fights to his favorite sorts of healing techniques. The UFC Boss discovered Slate purely by accident as a consumer and has been a lover of it ever since.

In early 2023, Slate was announced as UFC’s official marketing partner. The brand would get featured inside the Octagon on several occasions including pay-per-views. In fact, it will also be promoted on the 32nd season of The Ultimate Fighter in 2024. It’s more than visible that White has nothing but love for Slate.

So when NFL superstar Maxx Crosby invested in the product, White couldn’t be happier. The edge rusher has made an equity investment in the product further enhancing its evaluation. In fact, the NFL player is also a huge fan of the UFC and found out about Slate from White.

White would go on to upload a story about the investment to celebrate the opportunity. “One of my favorite people buys a piece of one of my favorite products !?!” he wrote in the story. Clearly, White knows how to sell a product and he knows how to do it well. But what went wrong when Slate went to Shark Tank?

While Dana White found the product organically, other business opportunities had Slate in a knot. The brand had approached Shark Tank where after a taste test, the product was brutally rejected. After about a year of re-working, the chocolate milk was back, better and more appealing.

It was no wonder White loved it. It’s filled with protein and is a great drink for athletes trying to keep their bodies in shape. Now, with Crosby’s investment, perhaps the product can break ground with the NFL as well.
