The world is full of social media content creators who have garnered a lot of fans and also financial success. UFC color commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan highlighted the fact that the internet has opened up a lot of possibilities for people who do not wish to have a regular job.

Joe Rogan found financial success and fame after his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ gained a lot of popularity online. He did have a prominent career as a UFC figure and a stand-up comedian. However, the success of his podcast and the $200 million deal with Spotify has made him a lot of money, and the show is fast approaching two thousand episodes.

Joe Rogan claims that it is easier to make a living with the help of the internet

In episode #1996 of his podcast, the 55-year-old podcaster mentioned that several people have switched from corporate jobs to start their own businesses. All thanks to the emergence of the internet. The Internet has provided a great platform for people to build themselves financially while also finding joy in their work. He said, “Lot of people have done it. It’s just not easy to do but in this day and age, it’s easier than any other time because of the internet.”

Rogan took the example of a video content creator. He explained how one great video has the capability to build a thriving business in the current times. He added, “You can post cool s**t on the internet and then people share it and then people contact you and the next thing you know is you got a thriving business.”

A different path must be followed to achieve online success

Joe Rogan reiterated that people find more success on the internet now than they ever could. However, there is a caveat. There is a need to be a creator to find that success. The 55-year-old said, “It does happen now, more than it has ever happened before. There’s a path to do it if you create things.”

The prominent UFC figure pointed out that things aren’t always easy on the internet. Rogan added, “It’s certainly easier said than done.” According to him, when children follow the same educational path that most people do, they often end up working for someone else. They don’t get the opportunity to do things on their own.

“But then again, the path that most kids put on from primary school, high school, and college, most of that path is entering the workforce, entering business, entering some occupation, and generally you’re working for someone when you do that,” said Rogan.

With the rise of social media platforms, many creators have come out of their shells to show people their style of content. Most of these content creators have a loyal fanbase who, on some levels, share the same interest. With his podcast, Rogan has shown that although it can be tough, it is possible to become successful online.
