Arman Tsarukyan was riding high on consecutive wins from his last couple of fights as he entered the Octagon at UFC Austin. He took on Beneil Dariush, who came off a loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 289 as he planned to come back to his winning ways. However, things clearly did not go his way as ‘Ahalkalakets’ dropped ‘Benny’ in the very first round.

There was a lot of talk about Arman Tsarukyan getting into a scuffle with Bobby Green before UFC Austin. However, he did not let that affect him as he walked out to grab a third consecutive win. Let’s take a look at what transpired.

The fight started with Arman Tsarukyan and Beneil Dariush both throwing strikes at each other. The 4th-ranked looked to grab a win after a first-round loss to Charles Oliveira. However, he met the same fate against Tsarukyan as he got knocked out in the very first round of the fight.

Arman Tsarukyan later mentioned that he was happy to grab the win and inch closer to title contention. Not only that, but he also called Beneil Dariush the most respectful fighter in the entire lightweight division. Claiming that he can wrestle, grapple, and strike, ‘Ahalkalakets’ mentioned his urge to fight Islam Makhachev again and is determined to knock the Dagestani champion out. He sent a message to the champion as well.
