

Conor McGregor is practically losing everything at this point. From his brand deals falling off to getting his image tainted in the sporting community, the civil lawsuit has taken a toll on ‘The Notorious’. However, his friend James Lawrence, who was also accused by the plaintiff Nikita Hand, was found to be innocent, and it was because of CCTV footage, which was something McGregor brought up when he claimed to be appealing the court’s decision.
Conor McGregor’s friend refutes people’s support for Nikita Hand, claiming she lied about the lawsuit. He claims to have remembered everything that went down that night in 2018 and said that even Hand’s friend “stood up” against her at the time. James Lawrence recently went on a rant about the plaintiff, while also sharing his account of all that transpired six years ago.
“I can remember everything and every word I said 6 years ago, stayed the same till this day, not one word did I change, everything I said turned out to a tee from the camera footage to messages she was sending her boyfriend in front of me,” Conor McGregor’s friend wrote on his Instagram stories.

James Lawrence, Conor McGregor’s friend who was with him that night, also accused of rape, has been found innocent. According to him he had consensual sex twice with Nikita on that same night after Conor allegedly raped her and left the hotel. It appears his claims were backed up by CCTV footage.

Even Conor McGregor’s fiance, Dee Devlin, laid emphasis on having camera footage as evidence while issuing scathing remarks about the plaintiff Nikita Hand, in her statement about the whole situation. Now, it remains to be seen how the appeal works out and whether it does or not, the case has definitely affected Conor McGregor’s business ventures.

Conor McGregor’s business ventures take a massive hit
At one point, it seemed like there was no ceiling for Conor McGregor’s ascent from a financial perspective. Everything ‘The Notorious’ touched, turned to gold. Despite several antics from hitting an old man in a pub to his various driving related offenses, McGregor seemed untouchable. However, all that has changed in wake of the recent trial involving him and Nikita Hand, as several business have chosen to sever ties with the Irishman.
Firstly, the owners of the Proper No.12 whiskey brand he created, Proximo Spirits, announced that they were distancing the brand from the Irish MMA fighter. Conor McGregor will no longer be the face of Proper No.12. Second, major retail outlets across Ireland announced that they were shelving any products owned or endorsed by ‘The Notorious’. Third, the Dublin Airport Authority stated that they would pull all beverages including the infamous Forged Irish Stout from their duty free outlets in Cork and Dublin airports.
Fourth, IO Interactive, a prominent game developer, removed a DLC featuring Conor McGregor from Hitman: World of Assassins. Finally, the National Wax Museum Plus announced their removal of McGregor’s wax statue, which the Irishman’s father, Tony McGregor unveiled n 2017.

It remains to be seen how Conor McGregor will recover financially from all these developments. With his business suffering, many in the MMA community expressed their apprehension of McGregor’s touted return to the fighting realm. For now, we will just have to wait and see what his next move will be.
