Middleweight stars Brendan Allen and Bruno Silva kicked off the main card at UFC Jacksonville. The #13 ranked Allen was looking to climb up the rankings while a win could put the unranked Silva in the rankings.
Allen came into the fight riding the momentum of a four-fight win streak. In his last fight, he choked out #14 ranked middleweight Andre Muniz in February. 9-2 in the UFC, 27-year-old Allen looked to continue his recent run of form with a win over Silva.

Fans react to Brendan Allen vs. Bruno Silva at UFC Jacksonville
Allen and Silva wasted barely any time before getting to it in the very first round. Around the third minute, Silva landed heavily on his opponent forcing him to the ground. For a moment it looked like Allen was in trouble. However, he was able to recover and fire back at Silva.
Although Allen responded strongly, Silva rocked him again and had him against the cage. Once again, Allen survived and went on the offensive. This time, his right hand found a home on Silva’s head, sending him to the ground. ‘All-In’ followed his opponent to the ground and secured a rear naked choke, forcing the tap to secure a first-round finish.
Fans on Twitter had some interesting reactions to that ecstatic finish.
