UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal unearthed an old Joe Rogan incident. On Facebook, the welterweight fighter shared an article that discussed an old incident where the UFC commentator had to fight.

As per the article, Rogan and 10th Planet Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach, Eddie Bravo, got into an argument with a ‘crazy’ guy. Further, the commentator and the man debated whether legal documents were needed or not to enter a country like America.

Thus, a back-and-forth ensued, and the situation escalated. As per the article, Joe Rogan put the man in a ‘neck hold’. As per the article, the man got ‘eliminated’. However, the situation was controlled as the guy acknowledged Rogan’s move was ‘awesome’ and, in fact, laughed.

Masvidal shared the article on Facebook and wrote, “Rule #1 – Never run up on #JoeRogan”.

While Rogan works as an MMA analyst, he is a trained fighter and knows several forms of combat. As per ‘Way Of Martial Arts’, he is trained in jiu-jitsu, taekwondo, and kickboxing. He also competed during the early days. He was a professional kickboxer with a 2-1 record.

Unfortunately, fans never got the opportunity to see him compete in mixed martial arts. Regardless, his close understanding of combat has surely helped him in his gig as a longtime UFC commentator.

Additionally, he was once about to even compete in a UFC fight.

Joe Rogan in a UFC fight?

The JRE podcaster trains regularly. Hence, he has been confident about his combat skills. Back in the day, he was supposed to fight actor, Wesley Snipes in the UFC.

As revealed by the analyst, the contracts were in place and he had started training for the fight. Thus, it would have been a huge one. But it did not take place. Regardless, Joe Rogan was confident he would emerge victorious because of his jiu-jitsu background.

It would have been an interesting way for fans to gauge his MMA skills. However, Rogan also posts his training and workout clips on Instagram. There are also videos of him training with UFC fighters like GSP. No doubt, he is ready to take on any challenge to fight.
