Mark Coleman has had his fair share of hospital visits over the past few weeks. The former UFC fighter had a tussle with a house fire that broke out in the kitchen and endangered his whole family. Luckily for them, ‘The Hammer’ was on his feet and started getting everyone out.

However, it wasn’t long until things spiraled out of control for Coleman. He rescued his parents from the flames and later on when he decided to go back into the flames to get his dog, Hammer, his body started giving up on him and he had to be airlifted out of the scene later. Seven different fire stations responded to the situation to help with the fires and now, Coleman has a message for them.

Mark Coleman was recently released from the hospital after regaining consciousness. However, things got a bit ugly for him once again after he had come back home to Columbus. His daughters quickly rushed him back to the hospital to realize that he had been diagnosed with pneumonia.

Now, it looks like Coleman is out of danger once again and he had a long message to give to his fans all over social media. He appeared in a video where he read out a long and heartfelt letter“My thoughts in 5 parts. I love you all. Thank you,” said the caption. Here’s what he had to say about the experience and his thoughts on the firemen who came to the rescue.

“I like to act like a tough guy, I’ve never been so scared in my life,” he confessed. “I will be visiting more fire stations in the future because they are the true heroes in this world. In comparison, it made fighting seem simple.” Clearly, the situation has left a lump in his throat. He even gave credit to the “Lifelight” medical team who treated him back to good health. ‘The Hammer’ considers them real heroes too.

It is also heartbreaking to know that Coleman lost his dog to the fire but his body was found without ‘a hair out of place‘. Hammer was a massive part of the Coleman family, but the former fighter could not go back to retrieve him in time as smoke inhalation took its toll on his body. His condition has bettered over the weeks and he’s found much support from fans around the globe.
