UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan stirred up attention on the upcoming U.S. presidential election with his latest podcast episode. Known for his often critical stance on former President Donald Trump, Rogan finally hosted Trump on his massively popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, in episode #2219. In the recent episode, Trump discussed everything from the election to his recent assassination attempt on him at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in mid-July.
Fans and critics alike marked Trump’s appearance on JRE as a potential turning point for the election, raising questions about why Rogan, once a vocal critic of Trump, didn’t confront him more directly. Rogan shed some light on this while watching UFC Abu Dhabi with Brendan Schaub and others when a guest asked if he felt nervous during the podcast. Rogan replied he was more “hyped up” than nervous and excited about the episode. Another guest then raised the topic of Trump’s stance on vaccines, asking Rogan, “Did you ask him why he was against vaccines?”
Rogan revealed, “No, I didn’t. But I also wanted to stay composed because there was a moment when he brought up the polio vaccine. I was like, ‘Oh my god.’ I didn’t want to correct him or pull up a chart showing when polio actually dropped off after the vaccine was introduced. Despite the variants, that’s a rough one. When you look at the data, there’s a lot to unpack, like measles and other cases, with what actually happened.”

Upon hearing this, Rogan’s co-host, Eddie Bravo, advised him not to include controversial topics in his podcast which could lead to misery, as the Joe Rogan Experience had previously faced significant backlash due to comments made about vaccines. However, not all the conversations were controversial in the latest JRE offering. Let’s see how Trump’s life has changed and what he has to say about his association attempts.

This year has already been eventful for him, highlighted by a shooting attempt on him by a 20-year-old at a Pennsylvania rally, where a bullet grazed his ear, astonishing the entire nation. However, Trump stood tall, remaining tight-lipped about the incident until his recent appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast. Trump revealed, “It nicked right there,” gesturing towards the scar. Rogan, visibly intrigued, remarked, “It healed up pretty good. It’s not like some of the wrestlers, some of the UFC fighters… it was sort of like a top shot. The thing’s taken off a little bit. But it makes me a tougher guy.”
