Should Tony Ferguson hang up his gloves, or does he have one last fight left in him?

40-year-old Tony Ferguson once held the record for the most number of consecutive wins(12) in the UFC. However, things have taken a completely new turn for the former interim champion. Ferguson took on Michael Chiesa in a highly exciting clash on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. However, what followed was an utter disappointment for Ferguson. He lost the fight in the first round itself after managing to land some shots.

Chiesa seemed too hot to handle for the former champion and ended the fight via a rear-naked choke. Since then, most of the fans want to know whether he will be retiring from the sport or not? It seems ‘El Cucuy’ has a lot left in the tank. During the post-fight interview, Ferguson left only one of his gloves inside the Octagon. So what exactly did that mean? Is he considering retirement?

The 40-year-old during the post-fight press conference said, “I’m kinda like, no, I still wanna fight, I still wanna compete and I still wanna do this … I wanna do a whole bunch of stuff. If I didn’t have the love, both those gloves would have been left in that f*cking ring.” He even pointed out that he did think off taking up coaching but the competitive factor in him is still prevailing. But it seems the fans have had enough of the former champion.
