UFC commentator Joe Rogan has seen his fair share of ups and downs. He had a long road on his way to becoming the world’s leading podcaster and one of the most familiar faces in the UFC. The 56-year-old ocassionally drops wisdom during his conversations on the podcast as he did recently.

Recently, Joe Rogan sat down with famous British comedian Jimmy Carr on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast. Both comedians talked about a number of important topics before the matter became about leading a happy life with a healthy outlook. While on this subject, the podcast host had a few important messages to share.

On episode #2045 of JRE, Joe Rogan and Jimmy Carr were engaged in a rather stimulating conversation. The two were discussing how having a non-jealous but positive attitude towards life and others can help benefit everyone. During this conversation, Rogan shared his mantra for a happy life with the comedian. On several occasions, Rogan has said that martial arts changed his life for the better. In this episode of the podcast, he shared yet another secret mantra for a happy life.

Yeah, you can choose to interface with life in a more positive way. And, you know, sometimes people need things that happen to them. Near-death experiences, tragedies, psychedelics – something that, like snaps you out of this state that you’re in – this groove thats been deeply cut into your consciousness and the way you approach life.“, said Rogan, immersed in his thoughts.

When Carr seemed to agree with what Rogan had to say, the UFC commentator added a few more points of his own to support his statement. “You need something different, that – that sort of allows you to see, like okay, I can look at things differently. And that would be a better thing for me. That’d be – that would help me achieve what I’m trying to achieve in life and then as you do, do that, apply it and you see the results that are positive. Then you gain momentum in this very good [inaudible],” concluded Rogan. 

Instilling discipline and positivity in children as well? Joe Rogan as a father!

Teach what you preach – that is quintessentially Joe Rogan. The UFC commentator has exceptional discipline in life and has a few principles he lives by. His beliefs are quite strong and they have yielded results for him. That is why, when he told Jimmy Carr about how experiences can change a person, he was coming from a place of having experienced that himself.

Similarly, when dealing with his three beautiful daughters, Rogan ensures that they have the discipline in life needed to succeed. Naturally, there are a few things that he instilled in them. In an episode, UFC bantamweight champ Sean O’Malley‘s coach Tim Welch asked Rogan about how he monitors screen time for his kids.

Rogan answered saying, “Yeah, I monitor them. They – they can’t have their phones at night.”. However, he also ensures that his daughters get experiences from life. “But, I don’t stop them from doing anything. I don’t stop them from eating junk food. I don’t stop them from playing on their computers. I don’t stop them from playing with their phone.”, the UFC commentator added in the end.
