In the latest segment, the American talked about another UFC fighter on the rise, Paddy Pimblett. However, Chael Sonnen discussed the lack of a trash-talking attitude and how once the “dorky guy” needs to call someone out for marketing.
Chael Sonnen revealed that because of his not-naming-someone attitude, other fighters reject a fight against Pimblett ‘The Baddy’. Sonnen then drew parallels with the other legends of American sports.
What did Sonnen say about LeBron James and Tom Brady?
Chael Sonnen referred to his MMA days and recalled the people he grew up looking up to, who never refused a fight. Further, he called the current MMA fighters’ crop “fake tough guys“. The 45-year-old then referred to the Tambe Bay Buccaneers quarterback and 7-times Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady.
Thus, he said, “The fact that Tom Brady would walk onto a field and take on anybody that shows up, 11 opposing guys. He doesn’t even know who his guys are gonna be. They could get hurt… He has absolutely no idea and he’ll walk out there on Sunday and do it anyway, for four hours. I mean really, Tom Brady’s tougher than the UFC fighters.”

Paddy Pimblett’s next opponent
The UFC lightweight fighter Paddy Pimblett is undefeated since his UFC debut. Besides, he is on a 3-win streak. In his last fight, the Brit defeated Jordan Leavitt with a rear-naked choke. It was this fight that made Sonnen point out that Pimblett could be a world champion.
The 27-year-old was in America last month, training with the Marines. Notably, the Brit submitted the marines one after another.
Recently, Pimblett expressed his desire to fight one more time before the end of the year and is still waiting for his opponent. While the Liverpool-born is targeting a December 10 return, Chael Sonnen’s advice may come to bear quick results for him.
