UFC’s former two times Heavyweight champion Frank Mir is still in the MMA game. Since his retirement, he has been tied up with another league United Fighter’s League. Mir is greatly associated with it. The league is widely known for its popular Freedom Fight Night. In this event, MMA fans saw a mesmerizing entry of a new and promising female fighter. The fighter is Frank Mir‘s daughter, Bella Mir. The youngling is currently a college freshman, however; she has got a fighter’s DNA. Bella knows how to leave an impression when it comes to her fighting.

Since she has been trained by one of the best in the sport, the 20-year-old killing machine is unstoppable. Isabella studies at the University of Iowa. The now-budding MMA star is actually a wrestler at the college level. The fighter is being considered such a huge youth prospect that former UFC star Brendan Schaub compared the ‘Lady’ to LeBron James, the American basketball legend.
Why did Schaub Compare Bella Mir to LeBron James?
The popular basketball star was considered to be in his prime since always. James’s school-time athleticism was on-point. The young prodigy scored 52 points as a senior in high school. Along with his many achievements, he has really set up an epitome for amateur athletes competing at the school or university level. The reason why Brandon Schaub was comparing Bella Mir to the Los Angeles Lakers’ lifeline was that she held the same spirit and aura in her. “You know when you saw LeBron at high school or Carmelo Anthony in high school, she’s in that stage,” said Schaub.
The UFC legend also called Bella a “savage” while also calling her “the biggest female prospect” in MMA. Although Schaub himself was a UFC fighter, he does not think that being in the UFC will be beneficial for the young fighter. But that does not stop Frank Mir’s daughter from advancing with the promotion. Even though she is not yet fighting in the UFC, she is a brand ambassador for them.
MMA vs UFC; what will Bella Mir choose?
It is not an unknown fact that the fighters enrolled in UFC’s roster are not allowed to fight cross-promotional fights. The young fighter is currently fighting in Freedom Night, featured by the UFL or United Fight League. Her father, Frank Mir, is also associated with the same. Meanwhile, the female prospect was chosen to be UFC’s first NIL (name, image, likeness).

“She’s gonna probably fight in her dad’s league, which she’ll get experience from, but while she’s doing it, UFC owns all her likeness and imaging,” explained the UFC legend in his podcast.
