There is hardly anyone who would deny the greatness of ‘The Spider’ inside the Octagon. He is also considered the GOAT by numerous fans and pundits. Anderson Silva was also one of the most humble fighters to grace the Octagon. He had avoided pre-bout brawls or verbal altercations in his prolonged and decorated MMA career. A lot would agree that Silva‘s humble nature was passed on to his son as well. ‘The Spider’s’ son, Kalyl Silva, who is a professional boxer, showcased his humble side on the third death anniversary of the legendary NBA phenomenon, Kobe Bryant.

Kalyl Silva offered his prayers for the immortal soul of Kobe Bryant

The Instagram page named ‘rikognition’ uploaded a heart-filling video about the third anniversary of the NBA legend, Bryant, on 26 January 2023. It showcased Bryant in his LA Lakers jersey leaping for scoring. It also displayed a halo over Bryant‘s head and had the instrumental of the noted classic, ‘See you again’ playing in the background.

‘rikognition’ captioned their post, “Three years ago today, we lost Kobe and Gianna Bryant. RIP John, Keri and Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah and Payton Chester, Christina Mauser and Ara Zobayan”. It also garnered a massive number of reactions from a lot of users, including Silva‘s son, Kalyl.

Kalyl Silva commented on the post with a ‘praying hands’ emoji which showcased his feelings toward the fallen NBA legend and his daughter Gianna. He also shared the same Instagram post as his own story.

Bryant deserves every bit of respect he receives from sports fans

Probably, the entire world will agree to the fact that Bryant is worthy of all the respect that he gets. The forever LA Lakers star holds the superb record of bagging five NBA Championships. During his time, he was arguably the best in his position as a shooting guard.

Bryant‘s decorated career spawned 20 years. He was drafted by the LA Lakers in the year 1996 and continued serving the same team till his retirement in 2016. The New York Times also lauded Bryant as they wrote that he possessed “one of the most decorated careers in the history of the sport.”

Bryant lost his life in a helicopter crash on the morning of 26 January 2020. He was also being accompanied by his daughter at that time. The helicopter crashed into the side of a mountain in Calabasas at about 9:45 am, killing all the 9 people in the helicopter.

The LA Lakers star will live on inside the hearts of fans like Kalyl Silva forever.
