The ex-NBA star had an amazing career inside the court. However, he had a controversial life outside of it because of his unfazed attitude, unique personality, and vocalness. Rodman, during his career, always remained in the headlines for both positive and negative reasons. Even after retiring, he still manages to stay in the news thanks to his outspoken views on hot-button issues.
Recently, he gave his thoughts on the WBNA Brittney Griner, who has been sentenced to 9 years in prison for carrying illegal substances in Russian. Rodman stated he will travel to Russia and help her but later backed out.
The NBA legend has been a controversial figure all his life. Another example of this was when he openly slammed the UFC during an event.
“They call me the bad boy in the NBA. Even though I am small, I used to kick a** in NBA. So these 16 guys here right now and tomorrow night you gonna see some good fighting,” Rodman said during the K-1 Dynamite USA event in June 2007.
“UFC f**k that. UFC you got Chuck Liddell. I don’t know. We got these 16 guys right here. Any UFC cannot compete with K1. You get it. K1 is the ultimate fighting of fighting,” Rodman added.
Joe Rogan once had a good laugh after learning Dennis Rodman incident
As aforementioned, the NBA legend lived a colorful life and had many incidents that will always be remembered. One such incident was told on the famous The Joe Rogan Experience podcast hosted by UFC commentator Joe Rogan.
In 2017, Billy Corgan, an American singer, and Rodman’s close friend, was a part of the show. At one point in the episode, Rogan and Corgan stumbled upon the topic of Rodman. That is when the latter told a funny incident about Rodman.

“I think he has gone to take a piss, okay? 10 minutes goes by I say to the waitress did Dennis leave? Yeah, he left, oh okay. I just figure he is gone. It’s just the way he is… I get up the next morning, turn on the television Dennis Rodman is in North Korea,” Corgan said.
It was when the American song artist met Rodman at a restaurant in Chicago. After listening to the story, the veteran UFC color commentator burst into laughter. However, they both were all complimentary about the NBA legend during the episode.
