Combat sports lovers have an exciting fight to look forward to. A showdown between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul is something the fans can’t wait to see. The clash between the former UFC star and YouTuber is set to take place on August 5. Diaz is known in the UFC world for his carefree attitude, which often invites trouble. Many agree that the Californian is a ferocious fighter. However, the same people might raise their eyebrows when it comes to Diaz’s boxing skills. His bout against ‘The Problem Child’ is going to be his first-ever professional boxing bout. Recently, the former UFC fighter failed to impress the 30-0 record-holding boxer Esquiva Falcao.

Esquiva is a great boxer who won an Olympic silver medal in 2012. He recently shared the ring with Diaz, and he was not at all impressed with the boxing skills of Diaz, even after going for twelve rounds. Now, UFC GOAT Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s coach, Javier Mendez, has talked about the bout.

According to Javier Mendez, MMA would be Diaz’s comfort zone. He said in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel, I saw the guy [Esquiva Falcao] talk there. The guy’s 30-0 and gonna fight for the WBC Title. I think he’s an Olympian. He’s a silver medalist, and he wasn’t talking too great about Nate, you know, but we don’t see the rounds, so we don’t know what the hell he’s talking about. He’s 30-0.”

Talking further on the topic, he added, “So obviously Nate’s still in early in his camp also you know and but then you hear Nate’s homies the way they tell it, it’s a whole different story so who knows who’s telling the truth. One thing we do know is Nate is probably the underdog because he’s the smaller of the two. Nate hasn’t been boxing for a while. Takes a little while to get your boxing legs back versus the MMA legs that Nate can do. It’s easier for Nate to go to MMA than it is boxing.”Like the majority, even Mendez believed that Diaz should have stayed in MMA instead of choosing to box.
