UFC superstar Conor McGregor had a near-death experience as he was knocked down by a car while riding his bicycle. ‘The Notorious’ one shared the news via his Instagram on Friday. In his post, he shared a picture of the damaged vehicle and a peek at the minor injuries he sustained. The 34-year-old also shared a short clip of the accident scene where we could hear him reassuring the driver who hit him. The post garnered reactions from his near ones and from the MMA world as a whole. Recently, his rival Nate Diaz also reacted to the news via Instagram.

The 37-year-old exited the UFC after his bout at UFC 279. Still a free agent, Diaz is yet to finish off his rivalry with McGregor. While conversations of a third fight between the pair pop up now and then, news of McGregor’s accident prompted a response from the Stockton native.

Nate Diaz reacts to Conor McGregor getting hit by a car

In his Instagram story, Nate Diaz gave his response to Conor McGregor’s recent injury. The former UFC welterweight shared an edited clip of McGregor riding a bicycle while singing a Snoop Dogg song. The end of the edited clip shows a man on a bicycle hitting a car and falling over.

This clip began circulating on social media shortly after the news of McGregor’s accident. Diaz posted this on his Instagram story with laughing emojis. Evidently, the former BMF title challenger was having a laugh at his long-time rival’s expense.

McGregor is yet to respond to Diaz’s jibe. It remains to be seen if ‘Mystic Mac’ will show Diaz the same kindness he showed the driver who knocked him down.

What Henry Cejudo said about McGregor’s accident

Among those that reacted to the news of McGregor’s accident was former UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo. ‘Triple C’ also had a laugh at McGregor’s expense, like Nate Diaz. However, he expressed his relief that McGregor sustained no serious injuries.

Incidentally, both Diaz and Cejudo used the same clip to troll McGregor. In the tweet, the 35-year-old wrote, Glad you are ok. Heard you were on a bike because you ran out of gas. @TheNotoriousMMA.”

As of yet, McGregor has not responded to any of these jibes. The Irishman later shared another graphic image of the minor injury he sustained after the accident.
