Michael Chandler is all motivated and excited as he is about to face one of his toughest challenges in the UFC by facing Conor McGregor. However, ‘Iron Mike’ is unfazed by this, as the MMA veteran has plenty of experience facing top opponents in the past. The UFC lightweight would certainly need a piece of advice, as he doesn’t have much luck recently in getting the job done against top-ranked opponents.

What better fighter to ask for advice than the one that has beaten McGregor already? Nate Diaz comes to Chandler’s rescue as he comes up with his trademark surprise remark on McGregor’s fight.

The UFC lightweight was present, along with Nate Diaz for UFC 285. ‘Iron Mike’ was spotted talking to Nate Diaz near the backstage of the arena as one of the reporters noticed it. The reporter then asked Chandler whether his conversation with Diaz was about any tips to beat ‘The Notorious’. The UFC lightweight replied, “Maybe… Hahaha Maybe… He said don’t you go winning bc we gotta do somethin.”

Furthermore, the reporter also questioned the 36-year-old over his beef with ‘Mystic Mac’. Chandler honestly gave his reply, “We’re about half and half. We are mutually beneficial opportunists who love competing against each other. That’s where we are at the moment.”

Seems like the UFC lightweight is not having the best of relations with the Irishman. Chandler had stated countless times that he was looking forward to working with McGregor.

Moreover, Chandler also answered the question regarding the predictions for the fight against the Irishman. ‘Iron Mike’ continued, “I finish him in the second round. Mystic Mike projects it”. Although the fight hasn’t been finalized, the tension between the fighters is growing.
