It didn’t take long for Khabib Nurmagomedov to take a stand after he was deplaned seemingly unjustly. The video shows the former UFC champion, who was sitting near an emergency exit, being asked to change seats. After refusing, the stewardess informed the Russian that they would call a supervisor to escort him off the plane, which indeed happened. This sparked an outrage on social media, with fellow fighters like Michael Chandler taking a stand in support of the Dagestani fighter.

Taking to his X account, ‘Iron’ wrote, “Can you imagine, an emergency happens on your plane and You would prefer a ‘perfect’ speaking human instead of one of the greatest athletes of all time because you’re ‘uncomfortable’ with his ability to speak English [which is very good, btw] – this is bizarre. Not only was he the most physically capable human being on the plane but Im pretty sure the ONLY qualification to sitting in the exit row is being able to say the word ‘yes’. @TeamKhabib” Many fans joined in the replies to show their resentment toward Frontier Airlines. However, Nate Diaz was in a different mood altogether.

Rather than being in support of Khabib Nurmagomedov, The Ultimate Fighter 5 winner laughed at the whole thing with a single emoji in the reply, “😂.” But Michael Chandler was definitely not in the mood to accept such a response. Deciding to give Nate Diaz a taste of his own medicine, the 38-year-old decided to drop a brutal reply by writing, “He speaks better English than you @NateDiaz209 😂.” This was definitely expected from the lightweight; after all, he had a war of words with the great Conor McGregor for a long time.

While ‘The Eagle’ was calm during the situation, he clearly wasn’t unfazed. So much so that, taking to his X account, the former UFC fighter shared his side of the story and the possible motivations behind it.

Khabib Nurmagomedov criticizes employee after being removed from the flight

Through his social media, the UFC Hall of Famer broke his silence and gave his version of what happened. The first action of the Dagestani was to correct the information that had been circulated, highlighting that the flight in question was with the company ‘Frontier Airlines’ and not with ‘Alaska Airlines’ as had been reported until that moment. Khabib Nurmagomedov even shared a photo of his visit. Regarding the approach of the stewardess and the situation he faced, Khabib Nurmagomedov described the employee’s behavior as rude, as well as that of the other crew members.

They are screwed [the airline].” Well, it looks like Frontier Airlines has some massive crisis management to do at this point. But what do you think? Who was at fault? Let us know in the comments.
