Mike Perry is one of the most entertaining fighters in MMA. However, more than his fighting, the guy is known for making controversial statements. The fighter is truly one of a kind. The 31-year-old had a promising start to his career. However, towards the tail end of his UFC run, the fighter garnered more losses than victories.
Recently, Perry has transitioned to bare-knuckle boxing or BKFC. The former UFC fighter is currently undefeated with a record of 2-0. Furthermore, one of his 2 victories is over a prominent Bellator welterweight Michael ‘Venom’ Page.

It was after this that Perry revealed that he recently was in Russia. To which Schaub asked, “Russia is in the middle of a war, right? And you’re like, let’s go there. I guess to not get bombed, but they’re doing the bombing. But still, you know… if my brother was ‘okay… I’m going to Russia’. I’m like, okay, have fun. It ain’t happening. You didn’t care?”

Perry replied, “You know what su*ked is that once we were there, then it got a little scary. Because news dropped like Fox and CNN like ‘all Americans leave Russia immediately’ and then family and my girl texting me this shit. Like my girl is calling me crying, screaming. And like, ‘get the f*ck out of there you have a family.’”
Perry then went on to describe that he couldn’t leave because the fight was more important. Meanwhile, there was also an end-time change in the rules of the fight, which Perry’s side was not aware of. However, for more money, the fight ultimately took place.
