Don’t let all the muscles, fondness for hunting, and love for combat sports fool you! Joe Rogan is really a softie at heart. For those who doubt it, another piece of clear evidence proving the UFC commentator’s rare side is his reaction to seeing a video shared by a Dutch X account, @buitengebieden. The post showed some good Samaritans saving little ducklings who had fallen down a drain and uniting them with their mother.

We do now know exactly what happened and how the ducklings went down the drain since the video starts with the mother duck worriedly pacing around the drain as her children cry out to her from the drain in distress. But more than likely, the mother was crossing the road and went over the drain. But her ducklings were too small to pass over the grate like their mother and fell in, which is known to happen. Thankfully, some kind-hearted people took the time to open the drain and reunite the family, prompting an “Awwwwwwwww” from Rogan in reaction to the post.

Of course, the UFC commentator’s love for nature in general and animals in particular hardly needs to be mentioned. In fact, some of the most interesting and memorable memes about Rogan are wildlife-related. And who can forget the immortal question? Who would win a fight between a grizzly bear and a gorilla? Moreover, this perfectly encapsulates Rogan’s interests and even his whole podcast philosophy in a nutshell.

Even Rogan’s hunting is not for sport or pure entertainment. The Texas resident has great respect for nature and feels hunting is a way to connect with it. He consumes every part of the animal that is edible and only kills animals after a fair chase in a manner that minimizes their suffering. The podcast host doesn’t even use a gun while hunting since he thinks it unfair for the animal.

Joe Rogan is ecstatic after scientists bring back once-extinct animal

The dire wolf is back from extinction. Yes, the canine made popular by Game of Thrones, where it is the sigil for House Stark, once used to exist in our world too. But alas, about ten thousand years ago, it went extinct. But through the magic of science and advances in genetic engineering, the dire wolf is back.

A biotech company, Colossal Bioscience has managed this extraordinary feat by modifying the genetic code of a grey wolf. The result is three healthy dire wolf pups, two males by the names of Remus and Romulus, aged six months; and a female pup, Khaleesi, aged two. And as you can imagine, Joe Rogan is ecstatic! The wildlife enthusiast had the CEO of Colossal Bioscience, Ben Lamm on episode #2301 of his JRE podcast. And naturally, Rogan couldn’t contain his excitement.

What’s your perspective on:

Does Joe Rogan's 'aww' moment surprise you, or is it just another side of him?

Have an interesting take?

“You made a f—-g dire wolf! … This is next-level s–t. This is not just science fiction anymore,” Rogan would tell Lamm on the podcast with all the wide-eyed elation and enthusiasm that you would expect. Wolves, after all, are one of his favorite animals to talk about. And a once-extinct, almost mythical animal coming back to the world is right up Rogan’s alley. What do you think about Joe Rogan’s reaction to seeing the ducklings get rescued?
