Joe Rogan really wants Drake on his podcast. The Canadian hip-hop artist, of course, is one of the biggest stars in the world. But the UFC commentator isn’t interested in Drake’s music but wants to talk to him about his questionable fight picks.
Drake, of course, is a big fan of the fight game and often puts money on big fights. His bets often turn out to be wrong, which has given rise to something fight fans call ‘The Drake Curse’. The ‘curse’ suggests that whichever fighter Drake bets on will lose. This is why Rogan wants to talk to Drake – to talk to him about his remarkably inaccurate fight picks.
“I want to get a hold of Drake and talk to him about his fight picks. That motherf***er loses more money on fights [than anyone else]. I want to call him up,” Rogan said on episode #2233 of his JRE podcast. This prompted Rogan’s producer, Young Jaime to jump in to defend Drake. He reminded Rogan that Drake had correctly bet on Jon Jones winning his UFC 309 clash against Stipe Miocic by knockout. However, Rogan was not impressed. “Wasn’t Jon Jones a 600-to-one favorite? I mean, that’s an easy bet,” he said.

Of course, Jon Jones was fighting a 42-year-old Stipe Miocic, who had last fought three years ago. Most were expecting him to win and win by knockout. While Rogan was right in his predictions of the UFC 309 headliner’s outcome, his assessment of Drake’s recent drama with a fellow hip-hop superstar did not quite pan out as accurately.

Joe Rogan wants Drake and Kendrick Lamar to ‘hug it out’
Even Joe Rogan, a 57-year-old man, found himself amid the famous Drake-Kendrick Lamar rap beef. The two hip-hop titans were locked in an ugly beef, dropping diss tracks against each other since October last year, which culminated in Lamar’s internet-breaking ‘Not Like Us’ earlier this year.
One of the most entertaining rap beefs in decades, it was one of the biggest cultural events of the 2020s. So much so, that Rogan found himself in a car earlier this year with his wife and daughter arguing for opposite sides of the debate.

What’s your perspective on:
Is Drake's 'curse' just bad luck, or does he really jinx every fighter he bets on?
Have an interesting take?
“It was hilarious but everybody is invested in this beef. My oldest daughter and my wife were in the car this morning, and they were having a conversation. These two grown a** women having a conversation about who is the superior rapper,” Rogan said on his podcast.
Rogan, as usual, praised both men and just wanted Lamar and Drake to get along. He felt that the best thing that could happen was for both the hip-hop superstars to “hug it out.” Well, that doesn’t seem to be on the cards, but it is a very ‘Joe Rogan response’.
